Fundraisers
Buglife is a rapidly growing and award winning environmental charity with an increasing media profile. Our President Germaine Greer and Vice President Steve Backshall of the BBC’s Deadly Sixty are but two of our many supporters. Buglife staff include leading conservationists regularly featured BBC Radio 4, Radio 5, most recently on The One Show and routinely in the national press. With several renowned international experts on our Board of Trustees, we have very big ideas for protecting the world’s smallest creatures.
This is an exciting time to join Buglife with a move to larger country park offices in Peterborough, the continued development of our offices in Plymouth and Stirling and a recent successful first step into Wales. Buglife staff are amongst the most satisfied in our sector with the latest staff survey showing 100% of our staff “enjoy working with the people in this charity” and our staff morale is twice the level of sector average. We are really delighted to have recently attracted two new Buglife Directors to join us from other well-known conservation organisations.
Thanks to recent investment we are setting up a dedicated Fundraising Team which is still under design, so this is a great opportunity to show us what you do best and where you might fit in as we move forward. We are looking to recruit within the following levels:
Head of Fundraising £34,705 to £39,007
Fundraising Manager £24,761 to £34,563
Fundraising Officer £19,333 to £24,688
We will consider applications for part-time as well as full-time work. At least one post is likely to operate from our Peterborough office, but we will also consider applicants who would prefer to be based in our Plymouth or Stirling offices.
Skills we need include :
Donor recruitment and retention
Fundraising from grant schemes and charitable trusts.
High value donor development and fostering
Leading and managing a fundraising team or function.
Managing fundraising appeals.
Building relationships with corporate partners.
