With a flair for PR and delivering high quality consumer media coverage, you will play a central role in promoting Age UK and its Retail, Trading and Training work. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop new PR initiatives to build our Brand, with a focus on increasing the profile and consideration of our 450+ high-street shops, the high quality products specifically tailored to people in later life offered by our Trading arm, and the leading training courses we deliver.
Retail, Trading and Training is an increasingly high profile part of Age UK’s offering, with new types of shops opening up, exciting partnerships on board and a real desire to grow awareness and participation – be that increasing stock donations through integrated consumer campaigns or promoting our range of ‘daily living aids’ to trade media.
You will develop and implement national and regional media strategies to support national initiatives, new product ranges and individual shop activity.
You will come from a PR environment and have solid experience of retail PR with a strong track record of delivering high quality media coverage that drives sales and footfall. You will also have excellent writing and communications skills and be adept at spotting opportunities for attracting the media’s attention.
