Further information

Save the Children UK has set out an exciting ambition to inspire dramatic change for children. Over the last 3 years we have grown our income substantially and established a new focus on high level giving.

The next 3 years of our strategy sets out some ambitious objectives; including a focus on growing major gifts from high value private donors. We see private donors as one of the keys to our future growth. Our aim now is to triple income from this programme by 2015 through securing higher level gifts of both unrestricted and restricted income and establishing an annual giving programme.

The purpose of the Major Donor Executive is to build and maintain a portfolio of high level donors and potential donors through high level networking to achieve general income from individuals, with a focus range of £25,000 and above.

The role will raise income from key major donors, by initiating and developing high level, long term relationships with existing and prospective major donor supporters of Save the Children.

We see you bringing to the role experience of developing high value relationships with major donors and success in soliciting principal gifts in excess of £25,000, with experience implementing the principles of major gift fundraising, to include identification, research, solicitation and stewardship of major donors.

In return we offer an opportunity to join a sector leading team in an organisation committed to growing major giving.
