A thriving organisation who are progressing and diversifying are currently seeking an ICT Project Support Engineer / IT Helpdesk Technician to ensure that staff can respond to the needs of the communities by assisting our 180 staff in all IT and telecommunications aspects. This role will be based in our offices in Peterborough and will be for 37 hours a week on a fixed term contract of 24 months.
Working within the Information Systems Team, the an ICT Project Support Engineer / IT Helpdesk Technician will provide direct support for Windows 2008 network users and remote site users working through a Citrix Wide Area Network. An average day could include dealing with 1st to 3rd line issues from the service desk, providing support and troubleshooting software issues with a variety of applications including MS Office 2003/2010, Windows XP/7, Active Directory, XenApp6, MS Exchange 2007, HR, Performance, Finance & Housing Management Systems.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and will be capable of dealing with the pressures of a demanding professional services environment. Ready for a challenge, the an ICT Project Support Engineer / IT Helpdesk Technician will have a good standard of education, can demonstrate an analytic approach to problem solving and most importantly be a self starter.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ICT Projects Support Engineer or IT Helpdesk Technician with experience of working with ICT Managers to achieve the Business Strategy. Experience in several of the following; Office Moves, Virtualisation, Thinclient PC’s, DR, IP Telephone Systems, SQL Database Systems is required.
