Interim Finance and Operations Manager

You will join SciDev.Net during at an exciting time of change. Working closely with the Director, the interim Finance and Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring effective high level financial and operational management across the organisation. This includes monitoring existing output against budget, building a budget for the new business model, preparing management accounts and financial donor reports. In addition to finance you will also manage the HR function (with the assistance of an external HR consultant to help resolve any staff issues) and will help to plan workflow to increase the efficiency of core operations, enabling the optimum running of a small but busy head office in central London and support to its six overseas hubs.
Fully conversant in management accounting, financial analysis and budget management, you will possess strong working knowledge of SORP and Charity Law and be able to demonstrate proven experience of reviewing and developing finance and administration systems. Commercially astute, you are highly organised with strong communication, people management and IT skills and will thrive on managing both strategic and operational financial activities in a small but ambitious charity with significant global reach.
