Further information

The British Red Cross helps vulnerable people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.

This is a new and exciting role where you will provide leadership in the development of our advocacy programme. You will be a member of the Operations Strategy Implementation team, where you will line manage the team and individuals responsible for UK public policy, public affairs and research.

Specifically, you will lead the development of an advocacy programme based on a strong operational evidence base and robust social research. Working across the organisation, you will oversee strategic policy analysis and ensure that it is effectively focussed on issues that make a difference for the people we serve.

This senior and influential role requires an individual with proven experience in leading a policy and advocacy team in one of the areas relevant to our services such as health and social care, emergency response or refugee support. You will be a seasoned advocate, with a track record of influencing policy makers, decision makers and opinion formers. You will be articulate and will possess the ability to present complex issues clearly to a variety of audiences. Your experience of leading and managing a team will also be key.

For an informal discussion please contact Shani Newbold, Vanessa Morgan-Ford or Laura Spurgin on 020 7947 4960.
