The Brooke
The Brooke is an international animal welfare organisation, dedicated to improving the lives of horses, donkeys and mules working in some of the poorest communities in the world. On average six or more people depend on the income generated through the work of each animal and so by improving animal welfare, the lives of poor people in the developing world are improved.
Our goal is to increase the number of working animals we reach from 1,100,000 every year to 2 million suffering horses, donkeys and mules in the most need in the developing world by 2016.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Brooke for an innovative and experienced Direct Marketing professional to join our friendly team of four responsible for DM income of c.£7m. As a vitally important part of the Brooke’s fundraising team, you will be responsible for your own direct marketing campaigns across recruitment and retention, working with a variety of channels and focusing on the most effective.
Criteria
Possessing sound knowledge of direct marketing and fundraising principles, with experience managing projects, delivering direct marketing campaigns, and interpreting results to inform future strategies and projects, you will also have excellent communication skills with a proven track record of working in a busy direct marketing team. You will be IT literate and have excellent Excel skills as well as experience analysing results in Excel. Time management & organisation and an ability to manage a varied workload are also essential, as is a desire to build on the Brooke’s significant achievements in developing strong relationships with our supporters and maximising income.
