Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice are seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to this senior fundraising and marketing role. As a lead provider of palliative care, we are continually developing the breadth and quality of services that we provide to our clients. Therefore, we want to build our financial capacity and brand recognition through appointing a senior income generation and marketing professional to our leadership team.

The prevalent economy and changing policy landscape provides both challenges and opportunities for charities. We know that we have to be innovative and focussed in order to maintain and develop our first class reputation. Hence, we are looking to attract the best.

The role
Leading and developing the breadth of our income generation activities. This includes all areas of fundraising, retail management and identifying new, profitable areas of business. The role also holds responsibility for marketing. As the market for charities and care becomes more competitive, the promotion of our brand and values is even more important. We are looking for someone who can lead and deliver a far reaching, multi-channel, strategic approach.

The person
We are looking for a chartered marketer or equivalent who has strong experience of income generation. You should be commercially astute and innovative yet have a strong personal buy in to our values and activities. You will be adept at managing and motivating diverse teams, with an ability to think strategically whilst keeping a keen eye on delivery. You will thrive on innovation yet combine this with an ability to communicate plans and activities to a broad group of employees and stakeholders alike.
