We’re Mind, the mental health charity.
There’s never been a greater need for our work, both locally and nationally. This year, we’ve embarked on a new strategy to ensure that millions more people who have a mental health problem have the support and respect they deserve.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you’ll be in charge of our dedicated Business Development team, which is responsible for scoping new partnerships, programmes and strategic opportunities across all sectors. To fully appraise these opportunities, you’ll run a Business Development hub, bringing together every externally-facing department. Through this hub, you’ll drive the strategic development of Mind, and lead for the organisation on key external initiatives.
You’ll be particularly involved in Time to Change - England's most ambitious programme to end discrimination faced by people who experience mental health problems. As well as managing two Project Managers, you’ll help develop our work with a range of organisations in the private and public sectors.
You need to be an experienced manager with an impressive track record of inspiring colleagues to think strategically and act collaboratively. You’ll be capable of motivating your people to perform, winning the respect of stakeholders and building cross-departmental project teams. Plus you’ll know about business management, third sector management and budget control. You’ll be diplomatic and a good listener, and also able to stand your ground and argue your case. Articulate, driven and strategically-minded, you’ll be a confident public speaker who’s committed to our cause.
We know that by working with business, the public sector and charities, together we’re stronger. You can make us unstoppable.
