Our client is the U.K’s largest volunteer-led organisation dedicated to providing key support to communities. Due to a recent review and restructure, a new Operations Research Unit has been developed to provide extra support internally and they are now recruiting a Research Manager to join this new team based in Poole.
Leading and managing a research programme, and a small team, this role will be involved in projects ranging from mathematical modeling through to physical trials and everything in between. Providing strategic direction, this role will offer a key interface between operational personnel and research ensuring that the underpinning science is always good, no matter what the discipline.
With proven experience of managing a research project, the ideal candidate will be competent in presenting research findings, information management and have knowledge of SAP. Confident in analysing large sets of data as well as thinking through qualitative data, you will have demonstrable experience of team management including varied skill sets and people. A relevant numerical degree and an appropriate post graduate research qualification or significant equivalent experience is also essential.
This is an exiting new role for an inquisitive, questioning individual who enjoys the challenge of providing sound evidence to underpin operational policy.
