Department of External Relations

When will we find a cure for cancer? What is the way to a more peaceful Africa? Do we understand the causes of dementia? Are you interested in being part of a dynamic, fast-paced team that is working to solve the world questions that need a global understanding and perspective? King’s College London is doing all of this and more.

Apply to join the Fundraising & Supporter Development Office with its impressive, well established track record of success. One of the few UK universities to have successfully closed a multi-million fundraising campaign, they have set an ambitious target to raise £500 million by 2016. The campaign encompasses many areas of the university’s research strengths, including age-related disease, international terrorism and conflict, migration, and cancer. These projects are spread across the nine schools and five campuses that comprise King’s College London.

King's College London is one of the top 30 universities in the world (2011/12 QS World University Rankings), was The Sunday Times 'University of the Year 2010/11', and is the fourth oldest university in England. Research-led and based in the heart of London, King's has nearly 23,500 students (of whom more than 9,000 are graduate students) from nearly 140 countries, and approximately 9,000 employees.

King’s is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is looking to develop their skills in face to face fundraising. You will directly support the fundraising activities of the University High Value Team promoting and expanding our three giving clubs (£1,000-£10,000 gifts) and building the pipeline for major gifts. King’s is looking for a motivated, ambitious individual who can take on this exciting opportunity to generate new members for our giving clubs. You will be a clear and confident communicator to a variety of audiences and have the ability to establish strong relationships with existing and future donors, encouraging renewed support.

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications within the Grade 4 scale, currently £22,475 to £25,251 per annum, plus £2,323 London Allowance, per annum.

For an informal discussion of the post please contact Helen Nicholson on 0207 848 4711.
