An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing professional to join our regional events team on a 12 month contract. The role will be responsible for devising and implementing marketing strategies to recruit participants and maximise income raised from our extensive regional events programme.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nations heart charity. We help save lives with information, patient care and pioneering research in to Coronary Heart Disease, the nations biggest killer. Working as a Events Marketing Officer you will take pleasure in being a part of our regional events team who play an essential role in the BHF's national success and they work tirelessly with community supporters and volunteers to increase revenue and support for our vital cause.

Based in our Birmingham Office, you will work closely and in collaboration with our Communications and Regional events team. You will also work closely with the Regional Head of Events to establish, develop, deliver in conjunction with the Regional Event Officer the marketing strategy.

As such you should have proven event marketing experience where you will have worked on marketing for mass participation sporting events, such as running events and bike rides (preferably within a charity or sporting field), experience of digital marketing and experience of setting and managing budgets is useful.You should also possess excellent communication and organisation skills.

The closing date for this position is the 6th June 2012 with interviews taking place on Monday 18th June 2012 at the BHF Birmingham Regional Office.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
