Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Individual Empowerment Officer initially based in Bristol until 2013 then working from Worle.
In this pivotal role you will provide support to vulnerable clients with diverse needs, to enable individuals and their families to live safely and independently in the community. Working with vulnerable residents to help them develop confidence and skills and achieve a more fulfilling life you will help make their neighbourhoods places where people want to live. Your engagement with individuals will enable them to understand what aspirations are them and their locality and help them make it happen.
You will work consistently within the group’s values, standards, policies and procedures, with specific regard to ensuring excellent customer service, safeguarding principles are upheld and anti-discriminatory practice is adopted.
The successful candidate will have experience of providing support to vulnerable individuals, supporting planning and assessment knowledge.You will have excellent customer service skills and the abilty to work indpendently and as part of a team. A background in housing and/or social care, good recording skills and an understanding of equality and diversity issues would be beneficial. In addition you will have good IT skills and a valid driving licence.
