The Marr-Munning Trust - Director - London - £47,500 per annum FTE salary (£38,000 pro rata)
The Marr-Munning Trust is an independent grant making trust supporting projects based in the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia or Sub-Saharan Africa. Our current priorities are community projects focusing on the education of children and skills training for adults.
We are a small charity based in Ealing in West London. Aside from the Director we have one other staff member. We disburse grants of approximately £300,000 per annum and wish to make a real difference to the lives of people in some of the poorest communities in the world.
We believe that the most long-lasting solutions are likely to be those rooted in the communities themselves. To make every penny count we prioritise applications from registered, independent charitable organisations with an annual income of no more than £1 m. Most of the projects we support have an annual income of much less than this.
About the role:
We are now recruiting a part-time Director with first-rate administration skills. This is an exciting time to be joining the Trust. Over the past year we have undergone a period of major change to completely overhaul our grant making strategy and processes, governance, operations and external communications, with the development of a new website underway. The new Director will consolidate these changes and help the Board to continue developing the Trust by ensuring we learn from our grant making and achieve maximum impact from our funds.
