Marketing Officer
Computer Aid International is looking for a marketing officer to join its London team. Computer Aid works to reduce poverty through practical ICT solutions. The charity does this through the provision of high quality computers and laptops, donated by UK organisations and individuals, for use in education, health and agriculture. Over the past 14 years Computer Aid has provided ICT equipment to projects in over 100 countries, predominantly across Africa and Latin America.
Computer Aid also work on initiatives designed to further increase access to ICT amongst poor and disadvantaged communities. Computer Aid is also currently developing free and open source software for people who are blind or visually impaired.
We are seeking a Marketing Officer to take on the key role of maximizing donations of computers to the charity from large corporates, government departments and universities. The role will involve persuading IT directors of the social and environment benefits of donating their unwanted IT equipment for reuse when they upgrade.
The post holder will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies to increase awareness of Computer Aid’s services as well as managing Computer Aid’s cartridge and mobile phone recycling scheme.
The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing and of working with corporate cultures. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with the ability to communicate persuasively at all levels within an organisation. We are ideally looking for someone who can start immediately.
