QEF Independent Living Services, based in Leatherhead is a residential, multi-disciplinary Centre where young people with physical and learning difficulties, including brain injuries, are supported to develop the required skills to allow them to move on to a lifestyle and location of their choice.
If you have time to spare you can make new friends and a positive difference to so many people’s lives as a volunteer with QEF.
Our clients need volunteers to support them with a range of day to day activities such as:
- Shopping and cooking
- IT (help with email, ‘Facebook’, ‘youtube’, etc)
- playing games
- reading
- art groups/card making
- gardening
We are also looking for volunteers to help assist with leisure trips at weekends and evenings as well as swimming, gym or exercise groups
Our list is not exhaustive and if you have a talent or interest you think would be appropriate to share, we are able to adapt our clients’ timetables to accommodate a new activity.
If you have a few hours a week to spare to help us we would love to hear from you.
You won’t need any experience as help and guidance will be provided on an on-going basis.
