Self-employed (2-3 days per week from home)

The Scotts Project Trust is based in Tonbridge in Kent providing residential care, a supported living service and a development centre offering a life-skills based curriculum to some sixty students. We pride ourselves on exceptionally high quality services and standards of care, fostering a safe and supportive environment that enables each individual to realise their potential for fulfilled and happy lives.

To support Scotts’ long-term strategy effectively, we are continually looking to improve our facilities. These projects include: building an extension to support residents with greater physical needs, acquiring property to develop our supported living service as well as a continual programme of investment in our current facilities.  Scotts has developed a fund-raising strategy which seeks to raise £2.5million over the next three years.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative fundraiser who is educated to degree level or equivalent, with a broad knowledge of planning and implementing fundraising initiatives including major donors, charitable trusts and individuals.

You will need to demonstrate a track record in the following areas:-

  • Strong research skills, report writing and project management ability
  • Superb communication skills to locate, develop and maintain key relationships
  • Excellent IT skills coupled with the ability to manage own workload
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a tenacious and ambitious outlook
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience within the charity sector or a similar professional environment.

We offer flexible working hours from home although you will need to attend regular meetings at our offices.   We offer the chance to be a key player in the future of Scotts and to make a real difference to the lives of our residents and service users.

In the first instance, please send your CV and a brief covering letter to the Finance & Administration Manager at elaineharris@scottsprojecttrust.org.uk.
