Overall Aim
To manage the financial and accounting activities of the Royal Academy of Engineering and its subsidiary companies and to establish and maintain financial and management procedures. To ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to Company and Charity Law. To provide financial advice and support to the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Director of Finance & Administration
Key Responsibilities
The following responsibilities apply to the financial management of the Royal Academy of Engineering and its two subsidiaries, RAE Trading and the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering Foundation:
1. Ensure that financial practices comply with all statutory legislation.
2. Ensure that accurate financial records are maintained for audit and statutory purposes and are maintained to the satisfaction of the Charity Commission and HMRC; liaise with these organisations as appropriate.
3. Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, identify significant variances from budget and produce a quarterly full year forecast.
