Do you have the expertise and understanding to help shape the safeguarding mission of the Catholic Church in England & Wales?
The National Catholic Safeguarding Commission is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Church’s safeguarding policy and for monitoring compliance by the dioceses and religious orders.
We are looking to recruit two lay members (i.e. not clergy or members of religious orders) with relevant expertise and experience in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. This experience could have been gained in social work, health, criminal justice, the law or other relevant area of work.
Membership of the Commission is not remunerated but expenses will be reimbursed. The time commitment is up to 16 days a year.
