About you
A brand or marketing professional, you’ll have proven industry experience and, ideally, a CIM qualification too. You know and understand marketing and you're up-to-date with all the industry trends and techniques. And, it doesn’t matter where you’ve worked before, as long as you’ve got the vision and drive to spot opportunities and get maximum value out of limited budgets. You’ve excellent people-skills and are brilliant at building relationships inside and out of the Trust, and across all levels of business. Combining your business acumen with your diplomacy and persuasiveness, you’ll be confident making suggestions and observations to senior management. And, most importantly of all, you’re a leader, someone who can champion the work we do here at the Trust and help us share it for generations to come.

About the role
Love brands? Love everything from the outdoors, to glorious gardens, Tudor farmhouses and mansion estates? We’ve got the lot across the Midlands, plus much, much more. We’re currently looking for people with vision. People who know how to raise our profile and get others excited about the incredible places and spaces we care for across our eleven counties. With over 60 properties and a potential audience of over 10 million, the area is both large and diverse, with lots of people to connect with in lots of different ways. Working with a Marketing & Communications Consultant, you’ll help to bring our marketing strategy to life, finding the most innovative and exciting channels across the marketing mix to drive awareness of our work and our special places to visit. You’ll also take the regional lead on our communications approach for contentious issues and areas of reputational risk. Whatever you’re doing, you’ll help us inspire the region with our innovations and developments. And with so many opportunities on the horizon, no two days will ever be the same.

Incredibly rewarding
We expect a lot, but we’ll offer a great deal in return, starting with stimulating and challenging work and the opportunity to help us achieve our bold ambitions. We value your contribution, recognise the importance of a work-life balance, and are committed to your continued development. You can also look forward to free admission to all our incredible places, plus a helpful 20% off at our shops, cafes and restaurants. But they’re just the benefits we can tell you about here. There are lots more at www.nationaltrustrewardsandbenefits.org.uk

About us
Here at the National Trust, we want even more people to enjoy our extraordinary places. We want people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved with them, be inspired by them, and love them as much as we do. That’s why we’ve put some bold ambitions in place. We want everyone in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to feel like a member of the National Trust and, by 2020, we want to have grown our membership to more than five million.
