We are conducting a search on behalf of a prestigious charitable foundation for an experienced Financial Controller & Company Secretary to manage the investments of the Foundation, it's financial operation and to perform the required statutory reporting function.
The Foundation has a long tradition of philanthropy concerned with supporting disadvantaged groups across Europe and it has funded a range of educational, cultural, heritage and community-based initiatives in over 40 European countries. Cultural academic studies and heritage are a current focus.
While experience of working in a charitable foundation with an investment portfolio, or in another third-sector organisation might be helpful it is by no means essential. Neither is it a requirement that you have a detailed knowledge of the projects and initiatives that the Foundation funds.
However, it will be essential that you are able to demonstrate an empathy with the strategic aims of the organisation as well as a respect for the history of the Foundation and the values of Jewish community life that characterise its work and commitments.
You will be an experienced senior financial manager or director who brings all the necessary core skills and attributes required - expert technical knowledge, a high level of personal organisational ability, a keen eye for detail and excellent written and oral communication skills. You will also bring a high degree of initiative, inner resourcefulness and the ability to work in a highly motivated small team.
