Salary: £65,000 per annum
The Communication Trust is a unique, award winning voluntary sector organisation, bringing together nearly 50 charities into an expert consortium to deliver real and sustainable change to support all children’s communication and those with additional needs.
Since forming in 2007, The Communication Trust has supported the children’s workforce to understand children’s speech, language and communication needs. We have influenced Government policy, raised awareness of children’s speech, language and communication needs and supported thousands of early years practitioners, speech and language therapists and youth justice workers to develop their professional knowledge and skills. We are entering a new phase with our next 5-year strategy and we are seeking a Director to lead us into this stage of our exciting journey.
You will need to be a highly effective leader; someone who can draw together a range of different people, organisations and sectors in a rapidly changing environment. You will need to maintain and develop strong networks and relationships within and across public, private and voluntary sectors and ensure a cohesive policy and tangible solutions. You will need to lead a strong, highly motivated team to deliver our solution based programme of work and achieve our goals of positively impacting on the children’s workforce to lead to better outcomes for all children and young people.
