Further information

Scott Prenn - Chief Executive - Central London - c. £65,000

The Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT) is a UK registered charity that raises both funds and awareness of the conservation needs of the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). GCT contributes to the successful management of the unique ecosystem of the islands and is the primary source of information and comment in the UK in relation to their conservation.

GCT is currently searching for a Chief Executive to provide fresh, creative leadership. The Chief Executive will ensure that GCT’s strategies, aims, and policies are achieved, whilst maintaining the values of the organisation.

As GCT is a small charity, it is essential that you have experience in a comparable senior management position to enable you to hit the ground running. You will have a proven ability to lead, motivate and manage staff and volunteers as well as a track record of building and maintaining relationships with the membership base and a wide range of stakeholders. An interest and knowledge in the conservation and management of ecosystems is a distinct advantage.

In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy competitive annual leave, a central London location and the opportunity to be part of an international network of Friends of Galapagos. Further, GCT is open to discussions on salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and performance.

Please email your CV and cover letter to Nikki Wallace by clicking 'Apply now' before 9:00 am, 6 June 2012.
