Save the Children works in over 120 countries; saving lives, fighting for children’s rights and helping them reach full potential. 2011 has seen Save the Children at the forefront of media presence through our largest ever campaign ‘No Child Born to die’.
We’ve inspired massive new investment in vaccines that will save 4 million children’s lives by 2015 and secured commitments to train and equip more health workers so more children can see a doctor or nurse.
As Head of PR you will lead our public relations work, delivering high impact and influential PR in broadcast, print and online – both nationally and regionally.
Playing a lead role in the marketing department, with a team of 5 you will have the opportunity to:
• Lead on the delivery of delivering popular press coverage.
• Work with external PR agencies, to develop PR events, launch moments, and mass fundraising ideas.
• Work with the Head of our Artists’ Liaison team to deliver strategy around celebrities.
• Organise daily and monthly work-plans of PR team
We see you bringing to the role experience of Senior Media Officer level working in a busy Press Office, Marketing / Public Relations agency or similar environment, with a demonstrable track record of success in obtaining influential media coverage in a variety of national and regional outlets for PR initiatives.
