c£40,000 + benefits
Nr Esher, Surrey
Our Retail division is the largest and most successful charity retail chain in the UK, with over 700 stores, generating over £120m worth of sales towards the fight against heart disease. The division won the industry award for the highest profit in the sector in 2010 and scores top on most key customer measures. Due to that success we're able to offer a great benefits package and genuine opportunities to progress. Having our retail office in Claygate near Esher, also means we benefit from free parking and no congestion charge or rush hour chaos.
A core part of the Retail growth strategy has been the development of its unique Furniture and Electrical (F&E) stores. With over 140 stores and a continuing expansion programme of 30 stores per year, the business represents a retail success story. Essential to this growth strategy is the need for an effective communication strategy to source donated stock through all available channels. The Marketing team require a Direct Marketing specialist to fully review current F&E direct marketing activity and develop a robust plan to maximise the return on investment and meet both regional and national needs for stock.
Reporting to the Head of Retail Marketing and Business Development the post holder will be responsible for fully reviewing the processes and performance of all current direct marketing activity to drive stock (on and off line) before developing a robust direct marketing strategy and plan for the business, including the establishment of robust tracking and reporting processes and a range of new initiatives and trials. The role will involve working closely with the field teams, marketing team and central marketing support functions.
The post holder will require a broad direct response background, with traditional below and above the line experience and will be the specialist in a predominantly Retail marketing team (requiring the experience and character to be relatively self sufficient).
