Further information

Pact (Prison Advice and Care Trust) is a charity which supports people affected by imprisonment. We provide practical and emotional support to prisoners' children and families, and to prisoners and ex-offenders.

Working at prisons in England & Wales, we support family relationships, through visitors centres, play and refreshments services, family days, integrated casework and parenting programmes. We have developed a resettlement scheme linked to prison chaplaincy, and a groundbreaking criminal justice volunteering programme. Our Kids VIP programme provides training and resources to improve practice in prisons.

We are now seeking an ambitious Head of Supporter Relations to maximise the charity’s income from a varied portfolio of sources. As a member of the small Executive Team, you will lead, develop and manage the charity’s fundraising, to meet our ambitions to deliver a range of quality support interventions for children and families of prisoners and ex-offenders.

This is a key role in enabling Pact to achieve its aims of maintaining hope within prisoners’ families, supporting positive outcomes for children and reducing re-offending.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A successful demonstrable track record of raising funds from charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Experience, or a good understanding, of other types of fundraising activity (individual giving, major donors, Big Lottery, community fundraising, events)
  • Experience of recruiting and managing fundraising staff and volunteers
  • A commitment to the vision, mission, values and strategy of Pact
