Legacy Manager (Scotland and North East England)

Legacies already provide two thirds of the RNLI's income. A challenging opportunity exists for a fundraiser to help develop and increase legacy and in memoriam income in Scotland and North East England (Northumberland and Tyne and Wear).

Reporting to the Senior Legacy Manager as part of the legacy fundraising team, you'll play a key part in pledger and in-memoriam promotion and stewardship within the community. Working within a philanthropy and pledger team, you’ll increase the number of people pledging to leave a legacy to the RNLI and ultimately you'll grow our legacy income even further. Whether you're building relationships with local groups or talking to potential donors, your sensitivity, positive approach and efficiency will make a huge difference.

You will recruit, train and manage legacy volunteers to approach groups and give appropriate legacy presentations. Planning and managing legacy & in memoriam events, you will nurture relationships with supporters and increase the value of in memoriam gifts in the community.

Your experience in charity fundraising means you'll be able to hit the ground running and, ideally, you'll have experience of working with volunteers, developing and building relationships and presenting to relevant groups.
