POhWER has grown to become one of the largest advocacy providers in the UK, providing the support of an advocate to a very wide range of service users from all communities, including in highly specialised settings. This service is to empower users to speak up for their rights, access information or comment on the services they receive or need including; health, housing, care, community and legal services. With the changes in commissioning and continuing growth, the charity is looking to make a number of new and high profile appointments.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this is a new and exciting opportunity to make your mark on the organisation. You will help in developing a fundraising strategy that includes a realistic but challenging annual fundraising plan and lead on implementing it. You will be responsible for preparing grant applications and identifying new opportunities for corporate fundraising. You will also build and maintain profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with current and potential donors.
You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of developing and implementing a fundraising strategy with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
