Head of Fundraising Development - 37.5 hours per week
St Barnabas House in Worthing provides specialist palliative care to adult patients with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses. Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, near Arundel, is the only children’s hospice in Sussex providing care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
We are seeking an outstanding person with at least five years’ fundraising experience, including staff management and targets/budgets. The post-holder will take the lead on an integrated strategy for high-level fundraising from trusts, companies and individuals for both hospices. This is a specialist role which involves managing a small group of very successful fundraising managers and contributing to a small leadership group within the Department.
You must have a proven track record of successful high level fundraising, planning and developing key relationships with supporters. Educated to degree level, the successful applicant will be able to work well with others, using their judgement and experience to make decisions about fundraising approaches. You will also need excellent communication skills to build relationships with key supporters of both hospices.
A full driving license and own transport are essential for this post.
