Samaritan’s Purse (SP) is a global evangelical Christian relief and development organisation providing emergency relief, development assistance and church and community support to suffering people around the world.
Continuous expansion of our overseas relief and development activity has created an opening for a Fundraising Manager who shares our passion to see poverty ended and suffering overcome. This individual will report into our Head of Communications and International Ministry. They will take responsibility for developing the organisations fundraising strategy so as to enable us to expand our fundraising opportunities and create meaningful, long-term relationships with our donors and other supporters.
Working as part of a small, multi-disciplinary team, you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills and have an impressive track record in relationship fundraising. The ability to acquire new donors from a variety of marketing campaigns, across multiple ‘platforms’, will be a key result area, as will the ability to develop new and existing donors towards long-term, meaningful engagement with the charity. For these reasons, the ability to plan strategically, to think analytically and leverage external networks for the benefit of the organisation will be essential for success.
