Save the Children is on a 10-year ambition to inspire dramatic change for children, with a clear 3-year strategic plan designed to position us to achieve this.

Our Corporate Partnerships Department has made a step-change in fundraising activity, targeting both existing and potential donors to maximise their potential. Income has grown by 120% and 65% in the last two years.

A new approach has been vital as we move away from traditional forms of giving such as Charity of the Year relationships, towards more mutually beneficial partnerships which meet their needs for business relevance, engaging customers, inspiring staff and assisting the delivery of their business ethics and CSR targets.

The new business team (x 5) is responsible for generating more than £2.5m of income each year through securing minimum 6 and 7 figure sum partnerships.

Over the last two years the team has secured multimillion pound national and global partnerships with companies including Lloyds Banking Group, Morrisons, Mothercare, Unilever, Prudential, HSBC, Viiv Healthcare and Johnson & Johnson.

We develop long term high value, shared value, multi layered strategic partnerships - multi million & multi year. Actively seeking to involve companies in our work both as financial partners, in kind supporters and increasingly partners on specific areas of expertise.

Created due to an internal promotion, the Head of New Business will see you lead a team to develop new corporate partnerships. You’ll also work closely with the Deputy Director to secure new global multi million partnerships, actively contributing to the growth of the Fundraising Directorate.

We see you ideally as bringing to the role experience of building high value partnerships, with experience gained at a senior level within a marketing, client management or sales environment, preferably from within fundraising. You’ll need to be a leader with the gravitas to influence external boards and volunteer committees. A team player you’ll have the opportunities to work with sector leaders in one of the most exciting environments imaginable.
