Summary:
- To develop and implement PR and media strategies to promote the Charity, its activities and the need to fundraise
- Strategically plan and implement fundraising PR activity. Promoting events, campaigns and corporate partnerships, as part of the overall PR plan, with clear, measurable objectives
- Generate effective and engaging media coverage in target publications, through both proactive and reactive relations and strong relationships with journalists
- Prompt and efficient handling of reactive media enquiries on a wide range of topics, briefing journalists and arranging spokespeople and case studies, share responsibility for 24 hour out of hours press mobile duty
- Write articles, advertorial copy and letters for external or internal publications as required
- Take a lead role in developing the new media strategy and activities as and when required
- Responsibility for recruiting and maintaining celebrity support for key PR and fundraising activities
