Further information

It's over 210 years since Professor John Anderson's legacy established what is now the University of Strathclyde.  Its past is full of extraordinary people like John Logie Baird, David Livingstone and James “Paraffin” Young and modern business leaders like Sir Tom Hunter and Brian Souter.

Still known as 'the place of useful learning', Strathclyde in the 21st century, is Scotland's third largest university.  It has an exceptional international reputation and outlook, with students and staff from over 100 countries.

This new post offers an experienced major gifts fundraiser the opportunity to join an outstanding Alumni and Development team.  This exciting role is to lead the strategic development, delivery and evaluation of the University’s major gift fundraising as they enter the first phase of an institutional campaign which aims to double current levels of philanthropic support.

With a substantial track record of securing major gifts, you will manage and motivate the lead giving team as they secure funding for campaign priorities that include a law clinic providing access to justice in less advantaged communities, a new centre for bioengineering for early life and new generation low carbon energy technologies.
