The Royal Air Force Museum is Britain’s only National Museum dedicated solely to aviation and the history and traditions of the RAF. It has three sites (Hendon, Cosford and Stafford) and a trading company which supports its funding from the Ministry of Defence.

This is an exciting time to join the Museum as we are developing a major campaign to transform the Museum. The part-time Trusts and Foundations Executive will secure and maximise income from trusts and foundations, lottery and statutory sources. The Museum is developing its fundraising and this role will contribute to its success by increasing donations from trusts and foundations. The role will manage applications and reporting for existing and potential new funders and assist with major proposals relating to our ‘Transforming the Royal Air Force Museum’ capital project.

We are looking for an established fundraiser who has secured grants and managed relationships with trust and statutory organisations. It is necessary that you are you have at least 2 years’ proven experience in fundraising from trusts and foundations, and a demonstrable ability in generating income from these and other statutory sources. You must have effective IT skills including competent use of Office software and fundraising databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge. This post will suit a dynamic and creative self-starter who has excellent organisational and administrative skills. The ability to prioritise effectively and work accurately as part of a team are key requirements for this role. 

Remuneration will be based on the equivalent full-time salary of £26,071 pa, pro rata of £13,036 pa for this part-time position.

The post will be based in Colindale, NW London. Travel between the Museum sites may be necessary.
