Major Gifts Officer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a prestigious education establishment in a major gifts officer role. The vacancy will be a fixed term contract for at least 1 year. The successful candidate will have experience in raising six figure major gifts and identifying potential supporters, including major philanthropists and alumni.

Key duties will include:

- raising five and six figure gifts
- assist with the planning and implementation of strategies to increase major gifts
- to identify individuals, manage contacts and where appropriate, ask for gifts
- attending cultivation and stewardship events
- to work with the research team to identify potential prospects and devise individual development plans for them

The successful candidate should have the following experience:

- ability to set strategic plans and implement them
- planning and delivering projects within budget and on time
- experience of fundraising with specialist knowledge in major donors, leadership giving, trusts and foundations
- ability to deal with senior colleagues and donors
