Main Purpose of Job To provide financial, accounting and technical support to the accounting rollout team. Position in Organisation The Accounting Finance Team Support Officer will report to the Financial Accountant and priorities will be agreed with the Financial Accountant and the Systems Accountant.

Dimensions and limits of authority This post has no staff or budget management responsibilities

Duties and Key Responsibilities Finance Process & Systems Support Within the finance team at National Office • Use established system integrations as required to import or extract data to/from the system ~ e.g. changes to budgets, nominal codes, complex journals etc. • Provide general support and maintenance for setup and maintenance of Excel templates, call logs, help files, FAQ’s including other support related initiatives.

Supporting Branch Implementation Provide support to the rollout of the Accounting Financial Systems to the branches within the society • Setup all branches and users on the central financial system • Run all relevant data integration mechanisms to bring in data for branches as they go live and validate it for accuracy • Assist with the testing of system developments that may come up through the course of business.

Person Specification: Rollout Support Officer (IFS) All of the following requirements are essential and will be assessed from a combination of information provided from the application form, tests, a standard panel interview and references:

SKILLS: • Excel skills with the ability to use and develop spreadsheets. • Ability to manipulate and interpret high volumes of Data • Strong planning skills to ensure that tasks are completed within unmovable timeframes • The verbal and written skills necessary for dealing with individuals when providing support and in responding to emails.

KNOWLEDGE: • Understanding of financial accounting systems

ABILITIES: • An interest in, and the ability to understand, new software and technology. • Able to think through problems and find quick solutions • Able to use standard accounting packages for purchase, sales and nominal ledgers. • Able to understand nominal ledger coding. • Able to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales • Able to communicate clearly with finance, non finance and IT staff. • Able to demonstrate a consistent approach towards others and operate with confidence and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: Professional experience in a busy financial accounting environment. Previous experience with implementation of ERP software (like MBS – Navision) is desirable though not necessary.
