An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance and Admin Manager to join this leading charity working with visually impaired people.
Main responsibilities will be
• Preparation, production and co-ordination of annual budgets with weekly and monthly monitoring and analysis. • Management and preparation of all accounting records, including data input. • Provision of weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports. • Quarterly reports to the Board. • Ensuring financial probity of accounting records. • Completion of statutory returns, maintenance of Company records and other Company Secretarial functions. • Acting as Clerk to the Trustees including attendance at quarterly meetings, preparation of reports, production of minutes etc • Financial planning and control to ensure that all statutory and legal obligations are met. • Preparation of annual accounts for audit. • Management of the insurance portfolio. • Implementation, development and upkeep of IT functions for the Charity and Trading Company. • Liaison with banks, solicitors, suppliers and other organisations to improve service provision. • Identify and evaluation financial risks to the organisation and ensure that they are promptly addressed, advising the Chief Executive and Board as necessary. • Management of cash resources. • Operation of monthly payroll. • Internal audit functions. • Oversight of office administration, including line management of approximately five full and part time staff.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
• Experience of production of annual accounts for audit. • Knowledge of IT systems and networks. • Knowledge and experience of tax, PAYE and pension issues. • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities issues within employment practice. • Experience of clerking meeting including production of minutes. • Proven staff management skills.
Desirable:
• A qualified certified or chartered accountant. • Knowledge of charity accounting requirements.
