Marie Curie Cancer Care is a leading provider of palliative care in the UK. A national charity, we provide free nursing care to patients, either in their own homes or in one of our 10 hospices across the country. In this vital role, you’ll help to develop and implement our fundraising strategy working with influential individuals who enable us to continue our good work.

Managing a portfolio of important relationships with both existing and new major donors, you will ensure that all major fundraising opportunities are identified and maximised. With the confidence to make persuasive presentations at meetings and the ability to write compelling proposals you’ll also manage and monitor an annual income and expenditure budget and provide support to fundraising colleagues and senior volunteers.

Able to communicate and interact effectively, with people at all levels; you’ll be comfortable producing strategy documents, annual plans and budgets and reporting progress against them. With both experience in and a keen understanding of the process of cultivating potential major donors, you’ll also be educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of line management.
